We need individuals to volunteer and assist at stopovers. As a Stopover Coordinator you will be a key person in making the Tour a successful event. Thank you for volunteering your services for this worthy cause.

This is what we would like you to do for us...

As we ride through your town we need to get the message of Circle of Courage to in your town particularly to the key meaders. To help us do this, we need you to:

1. Send us by e-mail or mail, a list of contacts, including phone numbers, etc. You'll find a list on page 7.

2. Organise a welcoming party for us.

• Invite a civic leader to be there.
• Invite important youth workers from Council, service clubs, church, youth groups, schools, etc., to meet us there.
• Keep the media in touch – newspaper, radio, etc. (A media person will accompany the tour and will keep in contact with you)
• Organise a place for the welcome – town square, or other high-profile venue, especially outdoors, but ensure permission is obtained.
• Encourage special people – the mayor, a sports hero, etc. – to ride into town with us.

3. Arrange a public meeting where the Circle of Courage philosophy can be presented to your town.

• Every adult in your town needs to be invited to this meeting.
• Key people need to be invited such as the local Mayor, Councillors, youth workers from youth groups, service club and their Youth Directors, teachers, clergy, and other well-known identities.
• A big meeting would be nice but a smaller one with key people as well as interested people present would be great. Our key speakers are well worth listening to.

4. Help distribute the Circle of Courage brochures during the welcome and meeting, and help distribute and replenish the business card packs after we have left.

5. Care for any advertising. We will provide advertising material and cover their cost. Newspaper advertisements and posters will be available to be placed strategically around the town to announce the Tour.

6. Keep the communication lines open with details of your planning. We will need regular reports before the tour commences.

Throughout the tour we will be in contact with you via cellphone. You can expect us to check in when we get near to your place. We will need to get directions from you to our place of welcome.

Your assistance to us is very important. What you do will make the Tour of great benefit to your community.

The Circle of Courage to tour costs have been covered by sponsors so we will not be fund raising . It is just the message we would like to get across. Each member of the team is passionate about its value. By being our Stopover Coordinator you will be able to share the benefits of the Circle of Courage Tour. We thank you for your commitment.
